AAR on Battlefront forums

Trying to get as many people interested in (and purchasing) this game as I can, I've started posting a British 1775 AAR over on the Battlefront.com general discussion forum if anyone is interested in reading that. It's my first attempt at the big campaign, and I must say, it looks like if I had been in charge of the King's forces then, well, it would have been a whole lot shorter war, and the British probably would have been too scared to even think about a war of 1812.

sure, we hope that BoA will be known enough so that we will have the chance to make a 2nd game. And its the word in mouth that will make the difference!

I agree Pocus,
With the sheer quality of this game I am positive it will sell well. Games like this are very rare trust me. I just know that it will be well recieved as it has been so far.

Great AAR Spharv2. I'm an old Battlefront poster and didn't even think of this. I've added my two cent's to hopefully boost interest. The folks on that site are pretty hardcore wargamer's and should love this game.

Thanks guys. I just got off work, and have no pressing business, so I'm off to try and recover the position I lost by reason of overconfidence.

Since the AAR got canned over there, I'll continue it here, but not tonight. I don't want to get started or I won't get to bed until past midnight.
At least I think I picked up a few orders for you guys over there, it's a pretty solid wargaming community.

I saw that. A bit heavy handed and I think because they are bringing out a American Revolutionary game. But still, I started a post at my surprise at the lock of the thread. Pretty touchy it seem's or different tone they what I've seen before. Oh well, maybe they'll rip me for enquiring about it

saw that, we crossed the thin red line it seems... Wonder what the game will be, real time? operational, strategic, tactical?

Following the links there, it seems quite tactical. And, it seems to cover both US and Hungarian histories.
I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Added my 2 cents to your thread Donan. I see no good reason for locking that thread while other similar threads remain open, except that they are afraid of the competition.

Perhaps. But I think it goes a bit farther. They seem to tolerate other threads about their competition, so why squash the BoA discussion?
Maybe becuase there is no competition? Maybe they invested in something that is clearly inferior, and they fear more than competition -- they fear their credibility is at stake.
If you view it in those terms, it is entirely understandable why they would single out BoA for such special treatment. But hey, it IS their forums....they can do as they wish. However, they may have inadvertantly said more about themselves by silencing the BoA discussion than they wanted to.

I agree Feltan, it is rather sad when you think of it.
Ah well, I don't know of any game that can compete with BoA.

I found that AAR useful - their gripe was valid, imho.
I have started anothe BoA thread on their forum, and it is still up.
Great game!
