Just Noticed Something Cool

Perhaps this is old news to others, but I just figured out that you can continue playing a scenario even after it is officially "over." I just played the Carolinas scenario with the new patch and wondered what would happen if I hit "Next Turn" after the victory screen popped up. So I issued some orders, hit the button and the scenario continued! Don't know how long you can keep playing, but it is nice to know that you can continue to play out a scenario to see how it goes.

Anyone know if this works with the full campaigns?

dunno myself, I guess 2250 would be a good year to stop the scenario :bonk :( no limit but the scripted renforcements are not planed beyond the normal end date, you would have to copy&paste the ones of a longuer scenario )

I figured the scripted events would end. But it is nice to be able to play a tactical position to its conclusion. That siege you would have won if you'd just had a couple extra turns, etc. What looks like a victory or loss when the scenario is "over" can reverse itself pretty quickly after a couple of extra turns. The ability to keep playing is a very nice feature.
