Is there an easy way to move units that you want to group out of a city? For example in one tab I have a general and one regiment. In another tab I have a ranger team. Can I group the general, his regiment AND the ranger team all at once and move them from the city all at once?

Keeping in mind, they are on different tabs!

Just drag one tab to the army tab you want to group and they will combine.

yes, tabs ARE in all ways the armies. You can multi select some units in an army and drag them into the tab of another army also. (this work also for fleets, if you want to load say 2 regiments of a 3-regs army into the harbored fleet of the region).
