Conquer a city with a draw

September 1775:
Lord Dunmore's army (Mx4, Mx4, Rx1) is in defensive posture in the region Norfolk. In the city the rebels (no leader, Mx4, Mx4).

October 1775:
The rebels attack. Not a smart move since they don't outnumber me, the terrain is bad (mud), they don't have a leader, can't be out of supply (in difference to me: no supply waggon).
They are lucky: a draw. Nevertheless I gain control over Norfolk and the rebels are outside now.
Seems a little bit strange to me. Is this meant to be like this?

darn, I forgot to check that... I saw that the battle result often said (too often) there was a draw, even if one side has been toroughly beaten. I will update the version monday then.

If it doesn't affect the gameplay it doesn't matter, so no need to hurry. The bad thing is I already took the screenshot, so I have to post it. Sorry for that. :D

But aside of this I still wonder why the AI attack me with the odds against her and abandon a strategic town instead of simply waiting. (Now she is besieging me.)

Thats would be interesting to know, it can uncovers an evaluation problem in the AI, and it is always a good thing to fix these.

Can you send me the saved game, either the whole directory of your game, or at least the one where there is the battle and the backup. support@ageod.com

I double-checked the turn again and realized that I did a small mistake: The American troops have not been in the city but in the region outside the city. Nevertheless they are in control of Norfolk, so this does not change the overall situation: They should have entered the city.

Savegame is on the way.
