Hello

Just wanted to say thank you for the developers. I downloaded the demo on Wednesday and after that I saw that you are developing a very interesting looking ACW game. I decided to buy the BOA, just to support the development of the coming title, which interests me more than the wars covered in BOA. I played around with BOA last night and from the limited playing, it looks fascinating game! I truly hope that you achieve the first good strategic ACW game. I had hoped the Forge of Freedom to be "the one", but was disappointed to the detailed battles, which you do not seem to include to ACW. I think that is a good thing, because the BOA engine seems very interesting and there is more depth, than would seem, when reading the introduction texts from your site. Thankfully the Christmas holidays are now starting, so I can play more!

Hopefully you'll get some media coverage for ACW and perhaps also to BOA, because I at least hadn't hear anything about this game, before it appeared to the Matrixgames forum. I haven't seen a single review in the Finnish magazines or anywhere else for that matter. Reviews in magazines would most likely increase your sales a bit and make it easier to develop coming titles.

I just hate to see what happened to Madminute Games, which developed two absolutely excellent ACW games…which no one bought and now the guys are taking a break, because of low sales.

Other than that, Merry Christmas and hopefylly the ACW is released soon!

Thanks for your support Kimmo. BOA got many review, but not on mainstream web sites like Gamespot and such. There was some talks about it in The Wargamer and various usenets groups though. Perhaps you can help us by giving the name of the forums where you dwell generally, and you can even drop a line on BOA in these places :)

You can also write a short review of the game and send it with a couple of screenshots to your favorite Finish PC review. They are usually keen to get new stuff.

Hi

I don't spend that much time on forums, at least not writing to them. Although most of the games that I really enjoy, I have learned from different forums. Take Command is one example, that I learned about, when it was just in the development stage (1st Bull Run).

However, I will be advertising BOA and ACW to all those that I know that like strategy games. I'll send a note to the leading Finnish gaming magazine, just to see if they would be interested of writing a review of the games.

Depending if I have the time, I might also try to write a review myself.

Got playing the game last night and I really enjoy it. It reminds me of those "good old" strategy games, before the graphics became more important than the game itself. I was a bit doubtful, whether or not there is enough details in the game, to keep it entertaining, but there is. The biggest enjoyment is to figure out, what to do with the limited amount of troops and how to engage the armies in a difficult terrain and with a slow moving troops. Shall I stay put and wait for them or shall I move and try to engage them.
