Movement rates?

Goodaye,
I've downloaded the demo (new one) and I've a couple of questions.
Does the game model different movement rates? I see that each unit type has a movement rating such as 'light infantry' or 'wheeled'. I'm assuming that each of these have a specified movement rate in different terrains. Eg. Light infantry would move through the countryside faster than wheeled. I also understand that certain terrain prohibits movement of certain units.
I can't find this info anywhere (manual, forums etc) and I wonder if somebody could enlighten me as I'd like to know , for instance, if moving an army around with supply wagon / artillery is going to be slower than without. Also if I send cavalry off in pursuit how much faster will they be? Is there a list of base unit movement rates vs. terrain and weather that I have missed?
My other question was related to the limited scenario you can play in the demo. Surrounding boston are Ward's ragtag militia army. There are various leaders and units in the army. There is, however, a combined unit/leader with the 'marblehead rgt' that appears to have John Glover embedded as a commander. It only has one company element, not four. How does this work? Is the 'marblehead rgt' a unit or a commander? Can it be brought up to full strength and can you detach Glover so he can lead other rgts?
Thanks for your help and a big compliment to the developers for the 'look' of the game. Excellent.
Cheers,
