Question about reemplacements

Hi everybody of the non spanish forum.
i'v got one question for you about the reemplacements.
Playing the scenario of the campaing 1775 as the Americans i lost some big battles and with them my entire Continental army, all the regulars (my only regiment of regulars) the dragoons and the artillery. Well, i could wait and recover the army slowly i thought. But the time passes and i only receive some militia and supply wagons. I was in Spring of 1776 and i had no regular regiments but i had a lot of reemplacements of regulars. Does this have some sense to you?
Wouldn't be better recceive some regiment of regular army instead the reemplacements?
if i'm not wrong each 4 reemplacements could form one regiment. In spring 1776 i had at least 20 reemplacements of regular army but i had no one regiment in play.
Having reemplacements mean that in the real world there are soldiers prepared for combat, well, where are they???
