I play the demo version of BoA. At the moment I am still a bit confused.
Whilst playing a scenario, I get sometimes additional troops. Is there any way to see in advance when I get these reincorcements? It is quite important for the strategical planning...
Best regards

No one?
Question too stupid?
Or too complicated?
Anyone actually playing the game?
Best regards

There is no way to know, unless having played the game a few times
Most of the time in those years, the commanders in the field had no idea whether and when they could expect reinforcements to show up...as reasons for delays were numerous and impossible to handle properly...
For the time being, we have not found a moment to establish some kind a timeline or reinforcement forecast...it's on our big TO DO list

No you don't know in advance when your reinforcements will arrive, except in some rare circumstances in the campaign where you can get a general word of warning on big reinforcements.
We plan to add this feature one day, but for now this is not a strong priority.

My first couple times playing the game, I was also bugged by not knowing when new troops would arrive, but now I think it is better not having this knowledge (to make it more like the commanders of the time).
I don't know if it would be too hard, but maybe dispatches could arrive telling the commanders that their request for troops had been recieved and that the crown hopes to send troops in the fall. Then the new troops can arrive at some time interval in the future.
I don't think it is good for the players to know the scripting of the game events.
The event I am still adjusting to is the militias disappearing in winter....even though I "know" that they will disband.

About Militia, we will show somewhere what is the chance (or lack of) of having the units disbanded...

Thanks for the answers.
Perhaps not knowing when reinforcements arrive is not a big problem in the smaller scenarios. You can play them a few times and ultimately know when and where the troops pop up.
Actually I am a friend of a more epic gameplay (like Europa Universalis, CK, HOI, Civ). As I understand in BoA are also some bigger campains over a period of almost 9 years (roughly 100 turns) playable. In these campains it would be far more interesting to know when/where reinforcements arrive. I think the idea of getting a message some months in advance isn't too bad. These predictions don't have to be correct in every case. Random events could delay the arrival or weaken the troops. But with the knowledge that reinforcements will probably appear in few turns I could risk other strategies.
