Let me wander for a bit here.
Born in Arlington, VA to parents from Massachusetts. I was an Army brat, but when my dad retired, he moved back to Mass and my hometown is Newbury, MA, next to Newburyport. I have lived half my adult life in and around Portsmouth, NH, though, and am permitted to call myself a Granite Stater.
I have lived (not just traveled through) in these on-map places: southwest of Petersburg, VA, Charlottesville, VA, Frederick, MD, Lousivlle, KY, Lexington, KY, Kansas City, KS area, Wichita, KS (well, kinda on-map), and the lower Rio Grande valley in TX (McAllen).
I have traveled through 38 of the lower 48 and have also lived in Wyoming, Colorado, Minnesota and California.
I have been to Palo Alto Nat'l Battlefield while in the Valley, but Palmito Ranch is not commemorated AFAIK. At Gettysburg many times and Antietam a few. When a kid in the Petersburg area, went to Fort Hell.
I have driven across many parts of Missouri, mostly northern Kentucky and am familiar with most of Virginai and Maryland and Pennsylvania, not to mention much of the Midwest.
So, except for the Deep South (I've driven from Florida to Boston, but always seem to catch the Carolinas at night), I'm familiar with a great deal of the map.

RULES
(A) When in doubt, agree with Ace.
(B) Pull my reins up sharply when needed, for I am a spirited thoroughbred and forget to turn at the post sometimes.
