Unit descriptions / abilities?

I might be missing it so please point me in the right direction, BUT where are the unit descriptions?

I'm swimming through the list of units to build and, being a veteran gamer I for the most part can glean an element of what each unit can do from the description name (like a 6-lb is not as heavy as a 12-lb cannon/artillery unit but does it move faster?), but there are a LOT of different units: medical, HQ staff, sharpshooters, and a million different naval vessels.

Where do I read up on the abilities / differences of each unit type?

It can be a bit hard to find at first.

First you need to select a unit then click on the icon in the top right, shown inside the green box. Now you can see the individual elements that make up the brigade in far bottom right corner. You can view details of these elements by clicking on the icons shown in the red box. From the unit panel you can view the stats of the element and hover any abilities they might have for a description, shown in the yellow box.
