New folder for the PON PBEM game started in January 2016. Players post comments here as the human player, not as your avatar country, for out of game discussions.

Just a general reminder: be sure to check your 'treaties to reply' tab in the diplomacy window every turn. I sent out a bunch of state visit proposals this first turn, and I remember that in the previous game I sometimes forgot to reply to them leading to an unwanted drop in relations.

Just posting to say hello to all old and new players. I am trying to follow along with the emails, but they are a little too fast for me to participate. :)

We could probably move the email discussion to this thread.

Yeah, that's a good idea Lukas. Save emails for emergency or time sensitive communications. Or diplomacy!

Lukas, have we decided on a deadline? Noon for me is in 2 hours. But what works for you?

Processing the turn for Late February 1850. Will create a trn file for China.

Lukas, I will need to process the turn one more time so I can clear out China's password.

What I had been thinking was around 5-6 pm EST, which would be 1-2 pm for you. That being said, I could also do something like 10-11 pm EST if that fit in with your schedule better.

5-6 pm EST works just fine. I guess we can process it at 5 EST if all the ord files are in, but wait until 6 if some are still missing. If I am processing the turn it could be delayed a little depending on how busy I am, but it should be close.

Early March 1850 is up. China password has been cleared.

Yeah, this is just about the same for me. I'm busy enough that I can't promise to always be exactly on time, but I will be as close as possible and if it's too far off, then I'll let everyone know so that Brian (or whomever) can run the turn.

I'm ready to run the turn but there are no orders for Russia or Spain. Will hold off for 40 minutes if you guys can get them in.

I'm not going to be able to run the turn today, sorry. Hopefully Brian or whomever can fill in.

There was a problem with the Netherlands orders last turn. They were miss-named, using a - instead of a ~ as the separator, but beyond that they were also much larger than they should've been (around 150k iirc, which is 3x even GB's order size). Trying to run the run with them included resulted in an immediate CTD.

So I have no idea what the issue is, but wanted to post his so that FM Hotzendorf is aware of this and hopefully someone can help out with getting this sorted if need be. Unfortunately, I won't even have time to run the turn today, much less do any troubleshooting.

I am very confused by this as well, in my other PBEM I haven't had any problems? Anybody have any idea what this is about? I did fix the - ~ problem though.

1850-05-01 coming up in a few.

Everything worked fine, Netherlands trn file is up. Wow, I believe that was the first turn where we had orders from all players.

Will wait about 40 minutes for any more trn files. Then I will process the turn.

Yes thank you, I was going to request a little bit of time after the normal process time just because we got the files a little later. Need a little time to submit the turn when I get home from work :)

It's cool, I was able to submit my turn. Thank you.

Just mostly concerned about missing any diplomatic replies.

For the sake of game balance, I would like to suggest that the trade zone attached to Vienna, "North Austria," be tied to the Mediterranean maritime zone. It is otherwise impossible to trade with Austria without bordering North Austria, and the normal Great Power ability of "(Great Power A)'s trade fleets make (Great Power A)'s capital trade zone accessible" doesn't apply to Austria-Hungary.

While it would be up for debate if A-H were to ever lose its coastline, it is entirely unfair to A-H to not be able to sell its goods outside of continental Europe while it holds a good third of the Adriatic coast.
