Leaders on Top

Wed Jan 13, 2016 8:24 pm

Can one of the code gurus here show me how to get Leaders to appear "on top?'

Models.Cached file.

It's one of the last two value in each line. I believe it's the second to last value (delimited by &). Find a leader you want on top and see if the second to last or last value is a 0 and change it to 1. Bring up game and see if leader is on top, then rinse repeat for all other leaders

Ugh - is there not a universal command?

Nope. Engine is setting it when creating model.cached. I had it fixed at one point, then a patch wiped it out.

leaders are on top on the map, I don't get what you want? Always see the generic leader faces in the unit panel when leading a large units?

Division Commanders after they've been merged with a Division.

Only division commanders with a generic portrait--each faction has up to 3 generic portraits for each infantry and cavalry--the leader's portrait will be shown on combi-units--both Old-Style divisions AND leaders with their own leader portraits.

In both cases, if the combi-unit is standing in its own stack or is at the top of a stack, the generic leader portrait will be show on the stack on the map; just not in the Stack Panel.

The combi-units in the Stack Panel are easily recognized through their colored name-bar. I'd rather see a the underlying unit in the Stack Panel, rather than a bunch of the 'ugly' generic portraits staring at me. YMMV.

In this i'm on montbrun side. I prefer leaders on top, clone or not clone.
Easier to identify divisions, for consistency sake and because it has been like this on all Ageod games until now and it worked ok.
Please, make it at least optinal!

To all you get used, unless the models are not updated, as is the case where the uniforms are of 1805 when they had to be 1807 in the case of France for the event "new uniforms".
