Wars of Napoleon Box Art Revealed

Wed Nov 04, 2015 4:39 pm

Today we are ready to reveal the cover art of Wars of Napoleon, the upcoming historical simulation game set in the Napoleonic era developed by Ageod!

Featuring the most important generals who fought Napoleon on one side and l’Empereur on the other while a terrible battle is happening in the background, the artwork brings the sense of the deadly confrontation that characterized over 10 years of conflicts between France and the several coalitions raised against it.

Be prepared to meet Napoleon Bonaparte, Marshall Kutuzov, the Admiral Nelson, Wellington and many more!

Stay tuned for further updates!

Good spot
"Umbrellas will not be opened in the presence of the enemy." Duke of Wellington before the Battle of Waterloo, 1815.

"Top hats will not be worn in the Eighth Army" Field-Marshal Viscount Montgomery of Alamein K.G.

I just assumed that the box art was supposed to capture the spirit of Napoleonic Wars, not really represent an actual meeting or a historic event. In any case, I really like the art style, reminds me of painting style of the era (just not as nice of course, but I assume that professional painters are expensive anyway). Out of curiosity, with the box art already out and all, how far are we from the start of beta? When should applicants hear back? Should we expect the game to be out by Christmas? Thanks, I cannot wait for it to be out.

In the meantime, is there any chance of a video teaser of devs playing the game for half an hour or something along those lines? I want to see those new features (tech, general ledger, what if scenario, allies guidance, etc.) in action. If they work properly, this is a great new direction for AGEOD games. Good work guys.

We are doing some videos but it might be some days before they are completed.

I was joking about all the leaders present at the same time. It was to say that yes, this is a box cover so is not representing fully history. So two arms is not something that shocking too.

Yay!!! I cannot wait to see those. Sorry to pesk you so much, but can you give us any hints when we should hear if we got into beta or not? I have been checking my email frantically for the past ten days. Also, will this games be also released on Steam or? I just prefer when your games are on Steam, the whole process of contacting customer service every time you want to re-download the game is tedious.

Again, really great job guys, judging by the screenshots, this games looks substantially better than your previous games (which are top notch, but promoting generals was annoying, not to mention the ridiculous tech system in TEAW).
