Question on delay

Sat Aug 08, 2015 12:15 pm

Just wondering what the point of delay is and what setting would be most historically accurate. Thanks.

"No way sherman will go to hell, he would outflank the devil and get past havens guard"
Southern solider about northern General Sherman

"Angels went to receive his body from his grave but he was not there, they left very disappointed but upon return to haven, found he had outflanked them and was already there".

Different people have different takes. To me, delay reflects the pre-battle preparations. It does allow the attacking side a bit more organizational time. Small delay, the default works well for me, but many players prefer medium delay.
