AJE, BOR, PW and HToR - Correct installation procedure

Sat Apr 04, 2015 9:42 pm

Hi guys,

If you would like to have AJE, BOR, PW and HToR in one folder on hard drive, these are necessary steps:

1. Install AJE (pre-order version)
2. Install Patch_AJE_v1.00_UnlockPO.exe (Unlocker for pre-ordered version)
3. Copy 2b-Spartacus73.scn (Spartacus scenario) into scenario folder (this came with pre-ordered version of AJE)
4. Install Parthian Wars DLC
5. Install AJE Update v1.04 (AJE latest patch)

6. Install BOR v1.00
7. Install Install BOR Update v1.04 (BOR latest patch)

8. Install Hannibal v1.00
9. Install Hannibal Update v1.01 (Hannibal latest patch)

10. Copy all scenario files from AJE, BOR and PW into Hannibal scenarios folder
11. You may freely uninstall AJE, BOR and PW from computer leaving only Hannibal on HD.

Yes that will work ok although the even more correct way ( :) ) would be to install the Spartacus and Parthian wars before patching AJE to 1.04.

Just check IF the Spartacus scn file is dated 29/09/2013, if not it is outdated. I can provide you with the correct file if needed, although only after next tuesday

Franciscus, I have copied Spartacus scenario again and applied 1.04 patch. The scenario is dated to 19/01/2013. :(

No worries, just send me a PM with your email and I will send it to you.
But due to RL I probably will only be able to do it next tuesday.

Hi

A clarification: the Spartacus scn file from 19/01/2013 is already up-to-date, compatible with all patches from 1.03 onwards.
The reason for my confusion was that I was on vacation and had only access to my dropbox backup files, which I reexported and cleaned up some time ago.

Only Spartacus scn files dated from 2012 (I believe those were only preorder versions) are outdated.
All currently available Spartacus DLC (Matrix, Ageod, Steam) are up-to-date, of course.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

(PS: all the files I sent via email to you guys are ok, of course)

Hi Franciscus

Irrespective that the 19/1/2013 is actually the most up to date file, I greatly appreciate that while on holidays you took time out to send me an updated file
Certainly no need for apologies and no inconvenience was caused !

regards

Mark

Hi

It should work ok, but I guess Steam may not recognize the "extra" scenarios and delete them, if auto-update (?) is set to on.

Please remember that HAN is a standalone game and currently only if installed separately it is "officially" supported.

correct me If i dont understand. My understanding is pw is compatible with age+bor on steam (which is updated to latest patch) they are just scenarios (so if i turn off the steam auto update it should be fine and play?) As for HAN its a different game install so it should be a different folder?

I just bought PW and HAn from matrix instaling it now it seems PW is from 1.03 pacth of aje. I installed the scenario files only on top of the steam(AJE plus BOR) ddoes pacth 1.04 (steamupdate) changes anything in the PW scenarios? do I need to pactch the game again even though I did not install 1.03 but jsut the scenarios.

Not needed, as PW only adds scn files
