CSA Capital Move

Tue May 12, 2015 7:25 pm

As the CSA I am seeing the Move Capital to Atlanta option but none of the other options that were in AACW: Charleston, Atlanta, Mobile and New Orleans.

I'd like to see Montgomery (not Mobile), New Orleans, and Charleston if someone can mod it, or has done so.

If I'm not mistaken at one time you could even move it to Memphis. I liked that
option, since I live here ;) It would be good to be able to move it to more than
just Atlanta. At least 2 other options that are deep in the interior would be
good, like Montgomery AL or Charlotte NC.

I think I recall reading about obscure conditions where it moves to a different spot. Like if you do it on the first turn or something?

I would like to see another choice or two as well, I miss being able to decide.

Well it makes for a huge difference for a CSA player out to play a long game that includes relocating the capital into the deep South, this is basic. I am surprised the options in AACW2 got limited to just Atlanta if that is indeed the case.

Davis should be credited, along with Lee and Cooper, for building up a CSA from scratch out of nothing--this was a monumental task and with his military background he did it brilliantly. It's a good thing the North did not need to rely on Lincoln, a military amateur, to do the same. That said however, Davis completely dropped the ball in not making the defense of NO--the most populous city in the South--a top priority.
