AJE and CWII

Tue Dec 30, 2014 2:12 am

I recently bought AJE and I am enjoying the game as much as CWII. I did notice that the manual for AJE is way more detailed on game mechanics than the CWII manual and some of it is very helpful but I have some questions about CWII based on AJE:

1.) Do AJE and CWII use the same game engine? I know that AJE uses the AGE engine and I have found the AGEwiki helpful in understanding how battles are calculated.
2.) How does CWII differ in battle calculations compared to other AGEOD games that use the AGE engine. Does it use the same equations found the the AGEwiki for calculating battle results?
3.) Are the descriptions of the unit details in the AJE manual the same for CWII?

I'm just curious about how the game works, I don't know if game mechanics are important but if they were not why would all the details be included in the game? :)

Yes, mostly regarding movement and combat. The main difference is in the UI management

The battle engine is the same, the main difference comes from the models parameters (and mostly, in AJE, the lesser importance of fire compared to shock)

Yes overall
