EAW 5 players setup

Mon Sep 08, 2014 4:56 pm

Hi guys, I would like to setup 5 player EAW multiplayer.

I would like to take Austria (mostly due to time concerns I would like to play side with little less units).

Any players interested, apply here:

Possible nations:

Germany
Austria
French
British
Russia

If there are more interested, we can add few more nations as well.

Looking forward to playing some multiplayer in this gem.

Only if Germany and Austria player cooperate in a way that first German palyer makes the order, than Austrian player finishes it.

But France, Great Britain and Russia are solo?
Or is there a need to cooperate for France/Great Britain like it is for Germany/Austria?

I wonder how the Germany/Austria and France/Great Britain coalitions then argue about of money for new troops and equipment?
They pay for the same Budget. Don't they?

They have to cooperate, if they argue over it, they will be in some big problems :) ...

If I were playing Austria, I would negotiate flexible 35-65% distribution of resources, with some borrowing and negotiating from turn to turn.

That sounds interesting.
Hopefully you make it to set up a 5-player game.
Would be even more interesting to follow such a multi player game via an AAR.

I do not expect one trn/day also because orders are first made by one player, then finished by other, then some negotiation between those two. It will be a slower pace game. I plan to play CW2 tournament game parallel with this game.

I can take Germany, but how and when are we going to start it? I don't have that much free time available as well (need to work soon btw), so the game need to be in a slow pace indeed. :)

I would like to take Russia in this game, but I am not going to be near my computer for a week at the end of september. If that is OK with everyone then count me in, if not then let some body else play.

If that is possible, both game and rules wise, I would be happy to take Turkey, once it becomes active.

Serbia is way too small to be single represented. Of course you can bid for Italy, when we get to it.

The idea sounds awesome, I am very sad to be too late to take Germany or another major nation. If any new country joins the war or a country gets free, I would gladly take command.

Wow, the number of players participating in this has surpassed my wildest expectations.

As much as it would be fun for every nation to be represented by a separate player, the faction mechanism prevents us from being efficient with it. The problem is one player has to complete his orders for the other player to begin plotting his. It could drag on for too long. So, perhaps we should limit it to max 3 players per faction.
We have already reserved
Germany, Austria and Turkey for the CP
English, French and Italy for the WE.
So, IMO Belgium units should be controlled by the British player.

There is always an ironman option, I guess. Each side gets a certain amount of time to complete their moves, otherwise the faction leader does it for them.
