I always play against AI.
And according to other posts here, you can win more by luck tan anything else. Many times I inherit Africa, with hte tactic of using my chance to assasinate in the second or third turn, when the defender has already used his ability...
.. but then, even though I ship the 2 legions to Italy, I have to face both of them, one in the Alps and the other in Venecia region, with less tropos tan any of them.
It seems unless you chase their leader which is almost imposible, or you hit him by luck, you simply cannot do it.
Even if you manage to kick back the blue player and take some strategic cities from the red one (whou always leads the VPs), it's usually too late and too few to make the difference.
This is the only faction and scenario I have not been able to win.
