Critical error

Sun Oct 20, 2013 2:10 pm

I received a critical error. I believe it was due to a problem with writing saves. I downloaded update, but I can not load save games. Even new one I have saved after putting in the update. The link for checking fo an update also seems to be not working. Please advise

AILog is not the correct log, that would be mainlogs.

But it is probably better if you updated the game that you delete the older saved games. They are located in the Saves directory. This directory location can be seen by opening the Options window of the main menu.

If I remove saves how do I keep current game? When I try to load it says critical error and I also have a problem with update link on main menu. Would it be better if I deleted game and reinstalled?

In the launcher menu, the update link is not yet working. when the patch is up, it should be.

As for the games, if you now know where the Saves directory is, you can first inspect any game folder there and see if you have 0 byte or tmp files. If yes, then you are probably be better to either delete the saved game entirely, or restore manually the previous turn, I left instructions for that in this tech forum.

You can also identify the latest game you played with by checking their modification time, this is provided by Windows if you list the files with the detailed view.

Thanks! I am still having problems with saved games. I don't see any with 0 byte or tmp to delete. In any case I still get critical error warning when I try to load games. can still play using resume

There must be somewhere a faulty file. If you can locate what is the game you are playing, then you are better deleting the others games.
