Man, I was totally looking forward to possibly a WW2 game.

I think the AGE engine would be able to portray it at least moderately well. I know it'll be complicated, but take WW1: La Grande Guerre and just mod it into WW2.

Perfecto! :thumbsup:

This guess from you would be indeed possible and does fulfill my hopes... :coeurs:

With Argentina you mean the British occupation of Buenos Aires plus the India Campaign and the 1812 campaign it would be wonderful...perhaps we could replay another Trafalgar with Nelson losing...*grin*

I would hope for and love a quite open scenario game taking place in the Roman period. A game inspired by the boardgame Imperium Romanum II or Cathage, First Punic War and it's follow up. Playing on many different times of Roman history far tickles my longing then yet another Hannibal version. But I'm not considering market, just my longing which is much more fun :thumbsup:

I owned two copies of your old Roman game, one with the infamous copy protection that never worked for me, and then I bought a working one. That's how much I love that theme! Hoping hoping hoping for more Ancient themes, if not now so for the future.

Well, I was planning to make something this Xmas, but it looks like it is a mess to get stuff organized with our current download partner... :(

I really need to check all elements carefully and rethink our partnership here :blink:

Maybe it's a MMORPG set in 17th century North America? :)
If so wig design should be an important part of the game - one can hope.

Punic Wars would be kewl, too.
I'd really love to see the 30 Years' War. :cool:

Anyhoo, AGEOD = best computer wargame company to have ever existed on the face of this or any other planet, real or imagined. Period. Ever. The absolute best. :coeurs:
And I should know about these things, since I am part imaginary space alien on my mother's side of the family.
Very impatient imaginary space alien, at that.

I hope game engine will be updated. Current engine is embarrassing on processor/RAM usage and can't give us more complex mechanics that are already done in AGE games.

Ilitarist: (too lazy to quote) Every game technically uses the same engine, but it's modified. Like AACW uses a very complex engine that runs slower than BOA. BOA is a lightweight version of AACW. So, despite using the same engine, BOA runs faster because it has less features and a smaller map.

No matter what logic you have engine should be updated. When BoA was created typical PC had 1GB or less RAM. Now everybody has 4GB and current engine should use them for cache or whatever. Same for powerful multicore systems etc. And it's very strange that later games require powerful PCs but can't properly use GPU so you can run latest shooters but can't scroll PoN map without lags.

Notice now the Paradox Plaza page contains 2 new games "To be announced at Paradox Interactive Convention"!

* Project Bodyguard
* Project Eisenhower

I wonder what these could be?

Paradox says that they use codenames with Kevin Costner films (yeah, it sounds a bit bizarre) for the games-to-come that they publish. For their own games codenames are based on USA Presidents.

So, in their convention (I think it's starting on Wednesday) they will be announcing at least a new game by an external studio (Bodyguard) and another on their own... or in fact, by ageod (you know it's now Paradox France). All clues point to a Napoleonic AGEOD game (not exactly NCP2, probably).

Like any paradix game, it will be a year before it is playable. Then we'll get it for 5 dollars on sale. Just like PON, except that is still not a playable game.

Looking forward it ;)

Of course it'd be great if the realase is before summer.

By the way, I'm playing now PON and... well, I'm loving it. Hopefully you go ahead including those features (economics, diplomacy, colonization...) in your new games. And don't give up it; new scenarios would make great things with the game.
