Area Status Indicators Gone

Sat Sep 10, 2011 5:03 pm

I just installed the patch and have started a new game. Overall things seem to be working as advertised, but none of the normal status indicators, such as besieged, breached, pillaged, frozen, or blockaded are visible. Is this common, and is there anything I can do to reset things so that they can be seen?

This patch supports all the status indicators you list.
I wonder if the patch worked? Maybe try a new install.

{KwikFix} 1.08 version 1

Tue Sep 13, 2011 5:19 pm

Apply only AFTER installing patch 1.08

=====================================================================================================
BOA2 : War in America patch 1.08 KwikFix 1
September 13, 2011
=====================================================================================================
= New parameters in settings to regulate Automatic Experience gain. Bug fixed.
= Ammo non-consumption bug fixed.
= "Scrambled" Battle Reports bug fixed.
= There is now a stack (group) name memory. Basically when the scenario setup is created the current name is also stored. This has been done (and is very often useful) so that the name of a stack doesn't change as soon as you move a unit out of it, or the reverse. A stack will assume a new name by merging the stack into another unit or stack.
= An insidious bug with the "NotEnemy" script parameter is fixed. (This was part of the issue with the "Hortelez Supply" arriving in Enemy Ports.)
= Cavalry won't switch posture when crossing a river, even if 100% hostile MC on other side
= Bug Fixed where sometimes a replacement was used from a wrong faction tag to replace an element in an unit
= berto's Weather Mod version 0.4 is included, with the "Coastal" bug also fixed

Script (event) changes
= 75/76 Campaigns: Revised logic for various unit and group arrivals to prevent arrival in an enemy-occupied region (Continental Marines, Hortelez, etc etc)
= 75 Campaign: Continental Marines arrive unfixed now
= 59 Annus Mirablis COL variant: minor adjustment to event dates for Canada Reinforcements so they appear in the short scenario as they do in Campaign.

Well, after a couple of hours in the 1775 campaign, I must say I came across several CTD. The game seems very instable with this quick fix...
Fancy the logs and saves?

Yup, the fix has broken something else. I had a CTD within a few turns after starting the Colonial version of the 1755 campaign. I also noticed that with 4 bateaux units in New York, I was unable to upgrade the depot level.

So, do I need to reinstall 1.08 and THEN run the patch.exe?

There comes a point when you have reached the maximum depots for an area. My suspicion, you have reached maximum depot level in this area. Not a patch issue, a capacity issue.

What issues do you wish to report. This would help narrow to the file.
What is the experience which runs counter to your expectation?

Well, I suffered from several random CTD after applying the quick fix. As suggested, I would like to upload here my last save & logs, but there are like four files of saves and four logs too. I don't know which ones are relevant and which are not. :)

First, send the entre Logs directory.
But, it must be the logs immediately after a CTD, before you restart the game.

Easiest is to zip that directory, then upload here.

I got yet another critical error. They happen after just a few turns. Here's the Logs folder.

Have you used the distant unload order in this game?

Yes, I have used the distant unload order, and that's when the critical error message shows and the game CTD.

Works OK for me :confused:

I restored previous turn, and the Fleet with Delancy successfully moved and did distant unload as ordered.
