I do not believe so.

It's already slightly overpowered so it's a good thing it doesn't apply to leaders. They nerfed it a bit in RUS. It only works when the trainer is in command of a stack rather than just in the stack.

Launch a 63 Union start and several Corps are attached to Curtis's Army in Arkansas - on the Carolina coast, even! They don't unlock for three Turns or so - then I "unCorps" them.

But I would feel like cheating. I dont mind using it as you have if it involves jumping 10 railroad connected provinces. Obviously, historically it wouldnt take 10 days to travel from Wilmington to Richmond for example.

As your opponent I thank you Ace, that's a gallant behavior and you definitively deserve this medal in your signature. :hat:

Due either to gathered experience or to his army leader.

In a PBM game alls fair in love and war unless you precluded it as a house rule. I would not hesitate to do it if I were you.

You have to be able to see things in the abstract I think.

CSA Intelligence found a Longstreet lookalike to play act for the enemy to make them think he was in one place while he was secretly traveling to his new command.

Ace is pointing the fact that you could move (= teleport) Longstreet each and every turn on a new location where good defensive leader is requested. This is obviously unrealistic (the poor guy would suffer from nervous breakdown very fast ;) ) and IMHO add nothing to the fun of the game. That's why house rule is often agreed upon to avoid such excess.

Also, I just discovered that all single-element support units are redeployable.

That's good to know as I thought it was just leaders and army HQs. That's especially helpful for the CSA when that signals unit you build for the ANV ends up spawning in Little Rock.

Still it was better than the (1) the other guy had and it was a critical battle to win. Which I did, but I was only able to because my PBM opponant forgot to put his river boat on Offensive to prevent my crossing the river.

Now I'm confused. I could swear I read somewhere that there is a (-1) penalty to all stats for being out of the command span of the army HQ.

After some testing, there is no malus imposed for operating outsite army command radius, ie status as corps and CP thereof are retained. However, no stat benefits are derived from the army commander.

Thanks all. I knew it was a rather gamey move but I am still trying to figure the game out. I probably won't use it, though I can't completely rule it out as my opponent is becoming increasingly irritating. :cursing:
