Turn 28 Late May 1862
Mcgruder holds against a much larger force at Williamsburg. The fort will be complete in 11 days. Nothing new in Northern Virginia as I'm not planning any offense there nor is my opponent making any moves. Stuart is still staging for attacks in to West Virginia, waiting for the mud to clear. Semmes lost another naval battle at the cost of one gunboat and 1NM. Bee's division still sits in reserve at Petersburg. If I have to send him South for any coastal incursions, I'll probably include Jackson as the leader, just so I can kill a beachead before my opponent gets a good foothold.

CSA lines look strong in Western TN, with my corps within MTSG, good terrain, and entrenchments dug. Forrest is going to go harass the enemy in KY for a while. JJ will hang around Bowling Green until I get some more forces in the area. He has one division with him so I'm weak in this area. However, my opponent is not making any headway in this area either. Buchanan had no luck engaging an enemy fleet so he is going back to Memphis.

Hindman failed in his forced march and went inactive too. Still I will push on to Lexington. Watie will go take Bloomington and work the area cutting rail. He and his indians can live off the land for the most part. Quatrail will form a small partisan force to further harass the enemy. Also off map I've got two 10lb artillery and one 12lb artillery moving towards Springfield. Right now Hindman has no artillery, so this will be a welcome addition to his forces when he can meet up with them.

The backwoods of the West is seeing some action, mostly in my favor. I've got enough areas to keep supply there now, so now my forces can become more of a pain. I managed to get a 2inf SS brigade into Denver. The Texas Ranger Brigade will go to Omaha city, while the infantry currently there takes Souix City. The Earl is going to attack Fort Laramie, with the intent to just inflice casualties. Ultimately I would like to get Council Bluffs, but not strong enough yet.

Mcgruder held against a much superior force. He does have 4 columbiads in his division, so that might have helped. Also the opposing force had command penalties still. Terrain and entrenchment were in my favor too. If need be I'll bring another division into the area, but I think I'm doing fine with just the one.

Replacements: 2 inf, 2 cav
This historical attrition is really a serious drain on my replacements. Money is short, but I'm always short on replacements too. Hopefully my forces don't start bleeding too bad, cause then life will get real rough.
