Paradox forums.
"Sad fragility of human things! What riches and treasures of art will remain forever buried beneath these ruins; how many distinguished men - artists, sovereigns, and warriors - are now forgotten!"

"The Nation that makes a great distinction between its scholars and its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting done by fools."

How did you first hear about AGEod's games?

I was looking for a good wargame, i made some research on the net and voila.

Even if Europa Universalis stay my favorite game, well not exactly the same kind of game but anyway, i have to say that Napoleon's Campaigns is a hell of a good game.

Congratz.

(and of course let's not forget BOA and ACW ^^)

An old gaming friends of years mention BOA as a game to get while corresponding via email.

---

One aspect not covered by this poll is that the brand awareness mechanism has probably evolved a lot today from what it was two years ago. Two years ago it was almost certainly word of mouth. However, I think now it is a lot more is driven by gaming Web sites/previews/reviews/AARs.

I first saw and downloaded BoA from 'Steam'. While I enjoyed it, I was super-psyched when I found out about AACW and got that from your website right away.

Great stuff guys!

I heard about it from PT actually, when I reviwed Great Invasions I asked phillip to let me know when his next design arrived, which was BoA.

Well...I first saw an AGEOD game (Napoleon's campaigns) in a shop (a small retailer, not any large chain) while on a game buying spree. But actually I did not buy it (I only remember it because I hesitated a lot) because I had never heard of it and wasn't sure I would enjoy it (and the retailer didn't know the game, either, so couldn't answer my questions). So, this did not made me aware of the existence of AGEOD or of its other games.

I really found out about AGEOD when I searched for a patch for "Great Invasions" some days ago.

Generally speaking, in most cases, I'm made aware of games on internet forums.Often randomly on forums dedicated to games I already own, but I sometimes actively google/search for forums/threads/websites discussing the relative interest of various games in a given genre.

I responded to the poll "I noticed the game on a webshop" since it seemed the most accurate, even though the "webshop" was actually AGEOD's site (I mean I bought BoA because I noticed it on the site I was visiting for "Great Invasions").

Did a search one day in Wikipedia for civil war PC games, after some research decided to purchase AACW -- bought the boxed game through Best Buy, not yet knowing enough about AGEOD to warrant a direct download from their site. Knowing what I know of the company now, and their outstanding support and community...I wish I could turn back the hands of time :)

It was in Cyberstratège for BOA. I bought the game and enjoyed it so much that I bought ACW and NCP without asking questions :niark:

Saw the game in a software store. Since I love American civil war games I bought it. I'm always on the lookout for strategy war games. So glad I did, this is definitly my favorite computer civil war game. I think I read somewhere in these forums that this game is somewhat based on an old Victory Games boardgame.Which I own and enjoyed back in the day.If not it has some similarities. So once I saw this, there was no doubt I would buy it![as I will with the other AGEod games] Keep up the good work, and thanks for lots of fun!

It was late at night and I was trying to order Close Combat from Matrix and accidentally clicked on BoA instead.

Imagine my surprise when I unzipped the installer. :D

As a paradox games fan, paradox forum was the first place I spotted a game from ageod. After visiting ageod forum for first time, I check regurarly to see if there are any news about VGN. ...you know, paradox Victoria was too demanding to be fun for me.
