How to finish off the South.

Wed Aug 07, 2013 1:15 pm

Ok...It's Late Feb 1863. Johnny Reb has been smashed in the field, Richmond has been taken. I'm sitting at 142 morale. Do I need to chase down the southern remnants to win? First time playing as the north so...

I think you have to reach 200 NM or down the reb to 25. Other way is to get the objetives cities.

Yeah…I got that…So basically do I leave those little commands with no troops running around the map while I concentrate on taking the rest of the key cities?

As fast as you can crush all the CSA troops/take the cities. There is a factor that moves NM back towards 100 over time, so you will probably see your 142 drop by 1 point every turn (unless you win battles/take cities to increase it). The same happens with the CSA's morale (it will increase towards 100).
Remember - The beatings will continue until morale improves.
