Icon not going away

Wed Jun 06, 2007 7:34 pm

I am sure this is mentioned somewhere else, but I tend to get irritated trying to find the right combinations of words to find what I am looking for. So I am going to ask again.

First the picture of what is going on.

OK, now the question. The rail repair icon is still there after this unit already repaired the area. This area needs no repair, and this particular unit has displayed this way for 2 turns now. I have noticed it on several others also.

Am I missing something? Is this suppposed to be like this or is it a bug?

That's the "destroy railroad" icon in the image. They look almost alike, the difference is a hammer for "build" and a bomb for "destroy".

I know, that is why I put the arrow in pointing at what I am talking about. Note the hammer above the unit.

Totally missed the arrow. oops.

Has the unit moved at all during those three turns? The unit would be entrenching if it hasn't moved so maybe that's what it is showing.

It has moved during this time period. Twice I believe, at least that is when I noticed it.

Besides, units automatically entrench when stationary; you don't get an icon showing that on the unit icon.

Sounds good. I had been wondering becuase these units never lose that icon, once they fix one section of rail.
