Windows 7 (64) Install Problem

Sat May 14, 2011 3:40 pm

I purchased a new laptop yesterday for the wife and tried installing the game.

The autorun file will not start up....

If I manually open to the setup.exe file it just hangs....

I purchased the game over a year ago.... Box Game with DVD....

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

This is curious, I've got it loaded on my desktop and laptop, both win 7 64-bit, no problems....are you installing/running as the admin?

I'm sure other folks may have other ideas..

My profile is the administrator. How would disabling user accounts help? Just curious..... and how do I disable the user accounts?

I installed under win 7 and had some issues similar with another game - they were related to how my win 7 was set up to handle security settings on running unknown kind of programs - it usually has a message asking if you want to run this program - maybe it is hidden or in conflict with the game setup starting. Maybe disable all that stuff in security level settings while you load game. I noticed oddly enough I would get action after nothing as you describe if I ejected disk and then I would get initial set up screen... and quickly put disk back in.

Hope those half baked and half remembered ideas help.

Michael
