I am sorry I did not see your post. I have ACCW latest version 15b on Mac and the latest beta version 16 on my Windows partition under Bootcamp. I have never PBEM but let me see if I can PBEM between the two versions I have - try to get to it this weekend for you and your friends info. I hope different versions doesn't skew the test...

Thanks Micheal! It will be great to find out. The only issue I can forsee is if the two versions arent quite patched the same, but I dont see it making it unplayable, just maybe some odd results. Anyway, i have my fingers crossed... :)

MAC and PC PBEM works

Uncross your fingers my friend - the PBEM between MAC and PC works according to my test performed this sunny Sunday morning here in Colorado before my little boy wakes up! You can let your friend know and get to playing with him.

I started game as host on PC side with Shiloh as campaign. Followed the manual's PBEM instructions and did two turns with the MAC side not-host as Confederates. Transfer files (.trn and .ord) worked fine and I checked to ensure my orders as confederate were carried out by union host when game turn was played there and I got it back.

I am pretty sure I did not miss anything - never did PBEM before...

Sorry I did not see your request to test this earlier - hope this helps get you and your friend playing a great game!

Anyone have mac version lockups on zoom and touchpad two finger right clicking? I have a macbook pro and although the touchpad doesn't seem to work for a right mouse click and zoom, attaching a wireless mouse activates the zoom but then locks up. Is there a way to tell the version VP used? I have the July 4 version

George I have the latest Mac Book Pro and no lockups. i think the VP version says 1.15b ??
