Unfortunately, Gen. Kearny and his command were annihilated later in the month when Gen. Longstreet arrived with his entire corps. Still the campaign has been extremely sucessful so far. I managed to inflict a crushing defeat on the rebs at Fredricksburg, an odd twist of fate indeed.
