New Player dumb questions.

Tue Apr 06, 2010 8:02 pm

Im a big Civil war fan and just got this game , but have a few question about the game.
First off board areas. If I want to do Sibley invasion of New Mexico , how do I get there? I tried moving a Texas Cav to the Southwest but it refused to go there. Maybe the troopers had more sense then me?;
Second specialist units like medical and engineers. How important are they and what do they really do. Im thinking of about one per army would be historical.
Also about how much Industrialization do most people do? Most games you industrialize like mad at the start and it pays off big time later.

Thanks and I will have more question as I continue to muddle through the game.

Your unit could be locked or something. We would need to see screen shots or preferably an uploaded saved game.

As for specialists, they need to be in a stack to help it. So, for example, the medical unit should be in the stack that does the fighting. The engineers should be with the stack that is entrenching.

As for industrialization, you can search the forums for the pros and cons of industrialization. Personally, I do little to no industrialization during PBEM (I have more pressing matters for my $ and WS).
