DirectX to Renderer invalid call

Tue Mar 14, 2006 9:06 pm

DirectX to Renderer invalid call (Burst Mode)
Would you like to terminate the application?

-------------

I get this when I have the game running, then the screensaver comes on (the one I use is the Windows XP 3d Flower Box). when I try to pull up BoA, I get the above error. Of course, I have to OUI out the erreur box, and then the game is shut down.

Kind of irritating.

And yes, the PC is fully up to date.

Let me know if you need anymore data - it is 1.03b; the game that is.

for now, the screensaver still crash BoA. You are not supposed to stop playing BoA in fact :)

Ok, seriously now, I have to recheck why the screen saver is not disabled when BoA is running, it was supposed to be. Games (DirectX) dont like screen savers...

hu? I checked and the screensaver don't activate anymore on my computers now.
Is it the energy saving or the screensaver really? And is it a saver registered normally in windows? Thats rather strange.

It could be the energy saver as I have that activated too. Well I had the error logger active if you want to take a closer look.

:bonk: . You see 1.04 when you load the game (sorry to be dense!)

Has anybody got this problem again? I will ask the testers if it triggers on their computers too.

I'll give it whir when I get home with the new patch...but, I use the XP 3D Flower Box and no power settings - just the screen saver - as I had the issue in 1.03b.

How does your screensaver shut off work? Could it be that security settings on our PCs keep that procedure from running?

Well lately every time the screensaver has been activated a screen comes up and I have to click on my account to acess the desktop again almost like I have to loggin could it be that, that causes the problem?

If you dont know what screen Im takling about I got a screeny of it. I have no disabled it but it is too alte now so I will try it tomorrow. Thanks Pocus for your vigilante watch here on the forum despite the late hours even in France...

I use the standard Win32 function, SystemParametersInfo. Works on both my PC (XP OS).
I can also change the delay without disabling it, its a possibility (like a 24 hours delay before screensaving lol :) )

*Erreur* Direct x invalid call (burst mode)

I experience the same problem as I start up the game (Boa), and in my case it has nothing to do with screensaver or power management as I do not use any of those features.

In which case do you get this DirectX error? As soon as you start the game?

The error occurs after textureloading is at 100%, the the boa display dies, where the error message follows.
thx.
