A small note though on the turn files: is exported in them only the things the player see, so by perusing into it you would not get informations of enemy armies in fog of war anyway...

I wouldn't even think of cheating. How could it be fun? I hope BoA players are intelligent enough and don't cheat! We're not playing Monopoly!!

Definitely a mixed response- What I was really looking for was an idea about the availability of opponents. Cheating is a medium concern and not seeing the replay of the opponents turn is a lesser concern. After playing the demo and reading about this game I think I could have some fun with the AI but I much prefer playing against humans. There is no glory in beating a machine Pocus I would take a look at the Decisive Battles Series by SSG (Korsun Pocket, Battles in Normandy, Battles in Italy) for a system that, IMO, really does email well.

It should be noted that PBEM is very minimally supported by BoA. There are no passwords, no file encryption. And a very limited "replay". Not only is it easy to cheat, it is hard not to accidentally cheat. Some of these problems are solved if you can find a third non-player willing to "host" your game. But the replay is still just a listing of messages, not an actual viewing of the turn.

Having said that, yes, I am playing a game by e-mail and enjoying it! And I maintain some hope that AGEOD will further develop the PBEM option.

As Pocus said, there are things planned in the "PBEM service" domain, it is mostly a matter of time... Please stay tuned, I can assure you that you won't be disappointed.

Now us Australians remained on civil terms with our English forebears and gained independence without alot of hoo-haa and shooting....So I dont mind playing the British bor DO I mind the US or French I find the history of the time quite fascinating and look forward to some good gaming!

I've only played all the way through one full GC as Britain and won, but all the settings were on Medium, with no AI advantages.
