1 Observation and 2 questions....

Wed May 30, 2012 4:28 am

1. Observation: Playing the Union is not fun and very frustrating if Grant dies in 1862. :(

1. Question: Is the Confederacy supposed to be allowed to go into Canada to avoid losing a battle? I had one of those weird games where Athena had far roaming troops and they took Buffalo. I sieged Buffalo and the Confederate troops (some of them) retreated into Canada.

2. Question: Is there a command to find the capitol of the opponent? I think the Confederacy has moved the capitol twice and I can't find it the second time.

I dont know about question 1 but 2 I wondered about as well. The only answer I found is to switch sides in the load games screen. Then hit F9 and it shows the capital.

If you have troops near the capital guessed location, hitting ctrl-F4 will remove all the units on the map making it clearer to see the capital symbol.

Which version are you playing?

1. No, but some weird stuff goes on with Canada (I'll post a separate example).
2. Not that I know of. I like Magnum's approach.
Two Rules: 1. The Tournament Director is always right. 2. When the Tournament Director is wrong, see Rule 1.

Had Foreign Entry occurred? Canada should be 'blocked' until then, which *Theoretically* prevents retreat/movement...

If the Capital is moved, it should be in one of the "bigger" cities still owned... ...again, *Theoretically* ;)
Always ask yourself: "Am I part of the Solution?" If you aren't, then you are part of the Problem!
