British come back... only to be beaten again

Fri Jul 17, 2009 6:47 pm

Now, this is the first time that in a PBEM I have a foreign intervention. I played Union and I didn´t know what to expect, but it seems the British are again no match for the Americans

Anyone has played a succesful foreign intervention in PBEM?

Jesus... What on earth did your troops have for breakfast that morning?

EDIT: Looks like your men were well-entrenched and had a lot of artillery, while the British were making an amphibious landing? No wonder you slaughtered them.

Fort Richmond

It also looks like you fortified Richmond. So not only were they making an amphibious landing, they were doing so into a level 2 fort with less than a 2:1 force. Plus you had Siege Arty and Gatlings there, and I know the Gatlings have a really high defense capability.

Is it possible your (Union) force was in the FOW? Otherwise, I can't understand why someone would attempt that.

At any rate, that is a bloodbath that'll probably negate the advantage of FI.
