Probably in late September, we have our annual convention 'Hall of Wargamers 2018' in mid-September, then I believe the communiqué will be issued.

Hi Pocus!
Is there any news?
When you`ll give us some new details about the brand new game / engine?
The facts are already known :sherlock: :
- "arrows era";
- "a lot of economical & political stuff - the second after PON in this style"
- "release in 2019"

It might not be - "arrows era". Pocus said - "there will be arrows"

but it might be that there will be some gunpowder as well ( like north america in 1700...)

for me the big question is not when but where - so not about Era but about Location

i guess Ageod might try to enter asian market - so maybe "Romance of Three Kingdoms" - chinease history....

Ageod engine is perfect, just a bit slow but what about real ingame tuto 2.0 for new players who can't read thousands of manual pages in english only ? :)

One of the first post about new game mentioned about "... before powder era", so we may tell about "arrows era" :)
Agree "Where" is important too! My suggestion - ROME is "when & where" answer.

Not me, but Pocus :)

Pocus wrote:The first game won't have gunpowder. And that's an information. Now I don't read the future and probably all subjects can be considered for games to follow the first.

But at the moment Pocus keep silence and tell us nothing :pleure:
My dream is medieval Era (1100- 1400 AC). There is a gap in AGEod`s games timeline exactly here.
But it will be Rome (just my feeling :) :) )

I am sure it will be a real great Game anyway!!

Sorry, the forum was down when I wanted to update you on that. The announcement is delayed a bit, for various reasons I can't discuss, but it does not in anyway postpone the game schedule and release date.

I can't tell you more about the topic, sorry. To atone for my mistake of having you waiting for the official announcement, I'll say a few more things on the game format: WEGO turn based, with regions. Like the previous AGEOD games.

Thanks POCUS, you do what you can... My bet would then be a game based in antiquity, sort of AJE2 but with the possibility of also playing hellenic times.

Pocus, thanks for this feedback! I understand you can`t tell us more.
That`s reasonable and clear. The most important that you're up to schedule with the game release.
And I hope your team will have enough time to finish this project on time and in a good shape :winner:

Kind regards,
Sergey

Well given that among our few alpha testers we have Altaris (maker of To End all Wars) and Loki101 (who did some awesome AAR on PON) and that they enjoy the game, it should be ok, even for grognards. :sourcil:

Are there new ideas like replacements of different experience level just f.e?
Will it be old AGEOD but with new paint? The old gameplay is getting somewhat old because the engine quirks which have been there since the ancient versions of the engine.
WOS is the greatest game yet by you guys but it looks abandoned sadly. I tried to look at modding but there doesn't seem to be a guide?

Neither am I, but let's see. If even if I am not encouraged, the fact that I still come here almost 3 years after WON was released speaks volume about my secret hope for a great game.

Since its based on the same underlying game engine as Field of Glory 2, you might find this re-assuring:

You can add, remove, change, all game rules through modding...
