New game suggestion

Tue Mar 06, 2018 4:20 pm

Since AGEOD is the ONLY game developer that would even consider doing this, AND has the engine capable of making it happen, anyone thought of doing a game on the French Revolution and French Revolutionary Wars? The time would run from say late 1788 right before the historical start of the revolution in 89 until 1799 when Napoleon declared its end? It’s interesting to see what could have occurred had the French army stopped the rebellion before it gained momentum... the Prussian army not given up so easily at Valmy...the Terror NOT happened, or had the revolutionaries NOT executed Louis XVI? There are a lot of possibilities are endless and fascinating given the complexity of the excellent AGEOD event engine. The original Europa Universalis board game, and the later PC adaptations I think did an excellent job representing the French Rev war period through events, so I would expect the same here!

For republicans, democracy is tyranny: people use violence against who does not want to share. Republicans call the democrat violence a terror. Those bourgeois, who had made people hungry, used people so they aim the violence against monarchy (monarchists who were responsible too, as they had used those bourgeois). But this violence was small scalled.
The Terror starts when bourgoisy, to keep their new power, make the violence a rationalized State tool, it's bourgeois who have invented the nowaday political terrorism, before this it was the mean of revolted submissed people.
So, this bourgeois revolution is impossible without the state Terror. Without this, they couldn't prevent the birth of a democracy.
In America, the share was made against indian natives, the new american state made the Terror against natives instead of own people.

Robespierre made laws "for the people", but he prevented them to be applied. This double-minded let people to starve, telling them to wait, while the corrupted (the bourgeois) stole ALL, worst than with the monarchy (the king had told nobles to take 'only' 3 quarters, so letting the worst quarter to people). So, many paesants finally prefered the monarchy, that they had just thrown away.., and so, the new bourgeois power went killing more paesants than the nobles did against 'jacqueries'.
