French presidential elections (1st turn results)

Results of the 1st turn:

Nicolas Sarkozy (Right): 30%
Ségolène Royale (Center-left): 26%
François Bayrou: (Center): 19%
Jean-Marie Lepen: (Extreme-right): 11%
Olivier Besancenot (Extreme-left): 4.5%
Philippe de Villiers (Extreme-Right): 2.5%
Marie-George Buffet (Communist, left): 2 %
Dominique Voynet (Green, left): 1.5
José Bové (Alternative, Extreme-left): 1%
Others: 1%

Mr Sarkozy and Mme Royale will run for the election in the 2nd turn (May 6th).

But I propose a correction : Ségolène Royal.
And I think she is more "left" than "center left".

Ah, France. When I retired awhile back and decided to dig my final hidey-hole somewhere other than in the U.S. of A., France was on my short list of possibilities...
