What to do with suspected pirate site?

Tue Apr 20, 2010 2:46 pm

Looking for advice, though this has nothing to do directly with AGEOD but tangentially it may.

One of my PBEM opponents (game not released by AGEOD) has suggested we play a new game (released by Matrix) and he gave me a site where he says I can download the game for free. The site is not connected with the publisher, nor is it one I've heard of. I suspect it is a pirate site and having no experience with such things, but being quite verklempt, I'm wondering how best to go about blowing the whistle on the site? Contacting the publisher directly seems the appropriate route.

Discuss among yourselves.

I'd say report to the publisher (in that case Matrix).

I knew you'd have an answer, Gray.

Thanks.
