What's on your hard drive?

Sun Jan 17, 2010 3:03 pm

In addition to any number of AGEOD games, what other game(s) are you currently playing?

Sins of a Solar Empire and those comfortable old shoes Red Alert 2 and FreeCell for me.

AACW, EU III w/ MMP 2, and Europa Barbarorum.

I usually drift through each in monthly infatuations... :)

I've only been able to make Civil War 2: Generals work under xp.

Not yet. :(

I actually preferred it to Civil War 2: Generals. But if the latter works under Vista, I may play it instead.

What i prefered in the first game is that you could chose the day to fight in Gettysburg (1-3). In Civil War 2, you have to start on day 1.

What else do you prefer in Civil War: Robert E. Lee?

It has been so many years since I played it I honestly don't remember, only that I liked it better. That's why I installed it instead of its sequel.

If you look carefully, you will see that tagwyn was one of the first ones to post in here... and not exactly with a "small" list of games... ;)
So, that was probably a "joke". :bonk: :D

The story is good... it continues the story of ME1 and leaves the room open for the final episode, ME3. The game has many elements of a RPG plus a lot of combat like Gears of War.
I think it is a good project... a combination of two different world, a RPG + FPS.
If you want a more "traditional RPG style", I htink Dragon Age Origins is the way to go. ;)

Recently purchased Military History Commander Europe at War Gold. Interestingly, the player mod called Grand Strategy, while making the PBEM experience better, renders the AI a bit dumber, at least for the Axis AI.

But it is fun to play without giving me headaches from excessive complication and detail.

Don't know. It's still in beta, and I'm busy with another beta.

But then, I did not have heartburn over the original. I suspect my expectations were more in line with what the developers released than the expectations of those who are grumbling. ;)

Besides AGEOD games: Dragon Age: Origins (not done), ME1 & 2 (2 not done), Crown of Glory: EE (will finally learn that some day), Armageddon Empires, Solium Infernum, Out of the Park Baseball X (pre-ordered XI), Torchlight, Lord of the Rings Online, Star Trek Online, Blood Bowl, EU3 + expansions, Crusader Kings + Deus Vult, Galactic Civilizations II + add ons, GeoPolitical Simulator, Sacred Gold, Titan Quest Gold, Medieval 2: TW, Football Mogul 2010, Total Extreme Wrestling 2010.

Need to reinstall TOAW3, Matrix' Campaign Series, HPS: Modern Campaigns (NATO vs. WP in 1985), Civ4, Mount & Blade.
