Filling in the Ranks

Thu Aug 03, 2017 4:25 pm

After units have been in play for a while, I have trouble remembering the areas they came from and thus trouble with buying the correct replacement chit.

How does one id the source of a unit?

Hovering the tool tip will give you that information both over the unit and then the icons on the F2 replacements screen.

What I do is bring up the unit on the unit detail screen, then click on the element.
Then I open the replacement screen and look for the one with the same symbol.
If this makes sense.

Well I feel dumb.

I just discovered that you can combine the same type of units if they are from the same area. So, I've been blending units like mad in an attempt to wipe out a sea of red elements and create an army that's more then a hollow shell.

Perhaps this will also help reduce major NM loses on the battlefield.

Edit: units destoryed on the battlefield do not seem to have the same impact on NM loss they normally do.

Don't feel too dumb. I had read in a manual that you could combine units and then took about two years to figure out how.
