Replacements

Thu Mar 08, 2018 11:23 pm

What determines or affects replacements? I have plenty of men for new recruitment, but never seem to replenish any (or enough) available for replacement production. I haven’t had ANY for Spain in about 50 or 60 turns. Is there something to be done to increase the number? And what decreases them? Thanks!

Do you mean the replacement chits that are bought from the production menu? It depends on your settings, either you'll have to manually buy them by clicking on the respective icon or give the AI control over buying them. I strongly recommend manual buying, to retain control of resources.

Yes, I know that lol I have it on manual. What I am asking is why if I do not have replacement chits available AS replacements (currently in reserve and useable) but have men in the force pool available for recruiting new units? Shouldn’t they be available for both? Can I assign them as reserves for replacement?

So do you mean that you're able to recruit Spanish units but can't buy any replacements for them?

Not just Spanish units, but any non-French units. Hungarian, Bavarian, Italian, etc. I do not have many French replacements either to be honest. I can’t replace supply either despite having tons of replacements for that available, money and war supplies. In other words, I cannot replace my losses. Period.

It works OK for me in my version of the game. Could you post a save of your last turn so I could check. I will ask the guys to look into this.

Question: do you use the patch?

Yes, I am using the most recent patch. Do I post the entire .hst/ .ord save file or jut a specific part of it? And thanks!

Zip everything. I wonder if the issue is not linked to the minor mismatch there was in the patch about the production panel. Will check

@anyone How do I attached the zip file to a post so someone can look at them? I dont see an attach file option anywhere.

@Phillipe I have files for the Bourbons in another game I am playing. This game is a newer game separate from the one I first reported. The war has not expanded yet beyond Italy and the entire Bourbon army and navy are completely depleted, with no manpower or replacements in reserve to draw from. According to my opponent, all his stacks lost men simultaneously for the last few turns this coming on the heals of a successful Allied assault on Milan, which btw lasted for about 20 days. However, as you will see NO other battles have been fought anywhere else but in Italy and his armies are just gone. I will post the other game's files in a few. Please let me know what you find. Thanks!
