Is this the War of Spanish Succession music topic ?
In France, military music got developped under Louis XIV by composers like Lully, Philidor, Couperin or Charpentier. There are a lot of pieces well documented, but not so much are recorded under the Youtube.
La
Marche du régiment de Turenne by Lully is still sung in french army. You can find a various versions from elaborate baroque (

My favorite,
Batterie de Timbales which I used for the ouverture of my TYW music mod.
