Budweiss never pays tax

Thu Feb 04, 2021 5:12 pm

Got to January 1624 in grand campaign as the Imperials. So far, Budweiss never paid any tax. Is this working as designed? My MC there is 100 points, region's loyalty is high too.

Hi Yaab,

I would say yes, but, I don't recall why this was designed in this way.

Tax usually comes from the major cities like Vienna. I think the 'coin' symbol on the map actually doesn't give you money. It gives you the points that are used on diplomacy/special actions. I forget what they are called at the moment :bonk:

Controlling whole regions give more income. Otherwise I think you just need the large cities like Vienna, Prague and Munich.

Guess you are right. I got to 1632 and only saw money from selected big cities or whole regions (Bohemia, Bavaria). However, the game has no message about taxes/money from controlling the entire Palatinate. I control it all but only get money from Frankfurt.
