Gustavus & Banner - how does this happen

Sat May 20, 2017 6:04 am

Banner keeps getting promoted over Gustavus and taking over the stack.
How does this happen?

Who gets promoted is a combination of their contribution to battle success and a bit of luck, so this can happen.

True enough - but no general should ever outrank Gus
Especially a Swedish one

I do agree, the king ought to always be number one, but . . ..
I am very ok with a game which show the king has lost too many battles that he ought to be aware of the need to have his more successful commander lead major battles.

The time it has happened to me, Banner was in the same stack as GIIA.
Taking the glory from the King?!
Ooh what a scandal

His name is Johan Banér, full name is Johan Gustafsson Banér. He hailed from the ancient noble family Banér :dada:

Don't want to step on anyone's toe's but if his name is "Banner" in the game, then it's totally wrong.

I own TYW but i haven't played so long yet when Sweden enters the war. I have only played until you get Denmark on your side, and historically Kristian IV basically tried to do a Gustav II Adolf thing but they failed miserably on that point im afraid :P

Im from Sweden so i can step on Denmark's toe a little :siffle:
Nah, the Dane's are our brothers as are the Norweigans :)
