english civil war

Wed Dec 09, 2015 2:14 am

this game encompasses a historical period that there are almost no games on the market that address this historical period, that alone is already a good game, besides the historical accurate with which address the units, events and all other aspects of the game.
in this historical period in europe,a very interesting and exciting scenario would be play the english civil war with historical figures such as cromwell,a campaign with many historical events such as the creation of the new model of army of the puritans.
really this would be an excellent expansion for this good game and that many players are waiting.

Certainly up for that, although Pike and Shot Campaigns does fill a small gap in the market. But doesn't have the depth of Campaign of the Ageod games.

"Hear, hear!"

I will lay down coin in the blink of an eye for an English Civil War campaign scenario.

Yeah, I would love to see an ECW Campaign scenario too!

It's annoying and frustrating that the English Civil War period has never been covered properly in campaign depth by any good publisher or designer (eg Total War or AGEOD)

Would be a good thing - lots of interesting events (decision to execute Charles), New Model Army turning radical, etc. Needs those things in order to have an interesting campaign, rather than just a military one.

It might be hard to simulate Charles II's wanderings in exile. Perhaps a hypothetical scenario for a contested Restoration?

Now wondering how different things might have gone if Fairfax had arrested Cromwell and maintained control.
