Assault posture: Von Thurn

Sat Sep 19, 2015 6:09 am

Hi, playing protestants in the GC, In the second turn I want to order Von Thurn to assault the city of Budweiss. It's simply not possible. The posture icone won't change and stays blue.
Any idea why ?

OK it unblocked. I guess this is because I didn't have a breach in the walls. Is it correct ?

Yeah, if inactive (brown envelope) you can't go "above" defensive.

You do need a breach in the city walls in this game to successfully assault. (And you will need artillery to successfully get a breach.) But in this case, yes, it sounds as though your commander was just not activated.

Or a "Mine" decision to succeed.
