CTD as French January 1805 campaign April 11th patch

Thu Apr 14, 2016 3:53 pm

Hi

I've had a crash to desktop as the French. I reloaded the game, and this time, it crashed to an unresponsive main menu. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for these troubles.
Can you provide the turn which is crashing?

I've kept a copy of the '5 - 1805 January Grand Campaign' save folder, and the 'Logs' folder. However, it won't let me upload a zipped copy of the former, as it says it is too large (3.27mb).

EDIT: I've uploaded the contents of the ' '5 - 1805 January Grand Campaign' save folder', but without the backup turn folders. Let me know if you want them as well. Thanks again.

I got no issue processing your turn, so here is the new one. I was unsure if it was a game logic bug (seems not) or something more directly related to memory management. It seems it's the latter. Did you contact the Helpdesk at support@slitherine.co.uk for work around the issue?

Also, I found following the advice here http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4062864 regarding texture initialisation and memory settings, the game is more stable. I have a i7 3770k, 32GB ram, and a R9 390 8GB. OS on a SSD, and a HDD for games storage and whatnot (like my uni essays!).
