Division Design Questions

Fri Mar 31, 2017 9:59 pm

What is a standard, balanced division design for WON?
In CW2, a division would have the following elements: 2 cavalry, 4 artillery, 1 sharpshooter, 10 infantry and a leader.

Would a pure artillery division, with a good officer, in a corps or army, have any penalties or advantages?
In CW2, artillery divisions are extremely effective.

What is the best design for a cavalry division?

What is the penalty for a stack containing a nationality not represented by a leader? Is this penalty cumulative per each unrepresented nationality?

I do not think there is a best practice yet as to division design. The old CW2/AACW seems to still apply, in my play at least. So not being a tech person, I think you have a similar advantage with an artillery division. I do not do this. I do, however, put heavy artillery with elite units and this seems to work well.

I just clump fast units with a good cavalry leader, but I am not so expert at subtleties.
