Wars of Napoleon New Feature: Nation Modifiers

Wed Nov 11, 2015 5:44 pm

In Wars of Napoleon, you will be able to manage the reforms you need to keep your Country capable to face multiple situations (from the need to establish puppet kingdoms to draft more - inexperienced - soldiers).

Decide the reforms your Nation will undergo in priority and see how they translate into National Modifiers. These national modifiers are for the first time in an Ageod game shown visually and it has never been so easy to see your strengths and weaknesses!

Invest wisely your resources into army, naval or administrative decrees and be prepared to see the outcomes!

Take a closer look on the screenshots below!

I dont want they rush the release like Thirthy Years, i would prefer a release date for next year and a product without bug and without horrible delay on turn.

Do the reforms or initiatives have negative as well as positive modifiers? For example, Austria had an ethnic polygot, feudal conservative government and had different pressures to maintain legitimacy than say Prussia. If Austria starts down the reform path then they could risk their own legitimacy.

The vast majority of reforms are for the army I believe, so there is a cost but no real drawbacks once paid.

Ok. Maybe next time.

Saw "reform administration" above under laws and decrees. There was a reason...many actually.. Austria and the others couldn't and didn't engage in reforms.

France could pull any lever and push any button more or less. The others were fighting against and attempting to stifle it. Even adopting the corps system was a big step. Then there was the fact, for Austria at least, that they could not appeal to nationalism either.

Speaking of which...nascent nationalism that is...there should be some sort of option (s) for that. For example, Prussia appealing to German nationalism and/or trying to agitate the Germans, which they attempted. Or appealing to the Poles if you are France or Russia. Austria really couldn't do this. But if one appealed to the Italians and then turn around and annex their lands then your next appeal shouldn't be as efficacious.
